Why work with a naturopathic doctor?

Naturopathic doctors go through four years of rigorous biomedical education with two years of supervised clinical experience to earn a degree. They also have to pass two national board exams. In the state of Oregon, naturopathic doctors can work as primary care doctors, order labs, prescribe prescription medicine, and still use all of our normal naturopathic modalities. Our training is distinct in that we have more training than a conventional medical doctor in nutrition, botanical medicine, and preventative treatment options.

Naturopathic doctors receive more in-depth training in holistic modalities than functional medical doctors or nutritionists.

Can you refill my prescriptions?

Yes, absolutely. I prescribe whenever necessary in my practice. I manage many patient’s psychiatric medications and can provide that role when needed.

What should I expect with my first visit?

Your first visit will last about an hour. I will want to get to know you and hear your health story. We will talk about all of your most pressing complaints, and come up with a treatment plan at the first visit.

Do you offer a sliding scale if my insurance doesn’t cover your services?
